Grace, Idaho

Grace, Idaho

Grace, Idaho is a small town in Caribou County, with a population of about 900 people. The area is rural and mostly farmland. As you enter the town from the North, you will cross the Bear River and adjacent Bear River Dam (which feeds water by tunnels to local farms). The town is surrounded by beautiful mountains, farms and plenty of potato fields.

For me, there are so many interesting things about this town to photograph. One of my main interests is the Dam in the Fall (when the temperatures drop and begin to freeze). The tunnels from the Dam are in need of repair and leak water everywhere. Water spraying from the holes, when freezing, create cool ice sculptures in the surrounding areas.
