Alexander Reservoir is a man-made waterway, just west of Soda Springs, Idaho. The Bear River dumps into this reservoir, and a dam located further west, generates power for the small town from the water collected. More than just a recreational area for fishing, boating, swimming and golfing (Oregon Trail Golf Course), this reservoir is a wonderful ecosystem and temporary home to migrating birds, who come in Spring to mate. In the 70's and 80's, the area held many events, including speed boat racing.
I take a lot of photos here. It's a quiet and relaxing place to enjoy nature, due to the few visitors it receives.
