Hooper Springs

Hooper Springs

Nearly 200 years ago, American indians, fur trappers and thirsty pioneers traveling along the Oregon Trail, had already discovered the unique bubbling springs around the area of what is now know as Soda Springs, Idaho. It was praised for it's many health benefits and natural carbonation. Salt Lake City, Utah, banking entrepreneur and mormon pioneer, W. H. Hooper built a summer home near the one of the springs. And soon after, in 1882 the railroad was built. What is now know as Hooper Springs, became nationally known and a popular destination for visitors to come and try the water.
